What is Cryptocurrency?

Digital money such as Bitcoin used to deposit and withdraw at some casinos.

Cryptocurrency is digital money that lives on a blockchain rather than in a traditional bank. Coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum can be sent directly between wallets without a middleman. A growing number of casinos accept crypto for deposits and withdrawals, and some operate almost entirely in it.

Why it matters: crypto payments are often fast, can carry low fees and may offer more privacy than card payments. For players in regions with limited banking options it can be the most practical way to fund an account.

The catch is that crypto prices swing, so the value of your balance can move while you play. Crypto casinos also vary widely in how strict their licence and checks are. Read the crypto gambling guide before you start, and only use amounts you can afford to lose.
