iGaming Glossary / e-Wallet
What is e-Wallet?
A digital wallet that acts as a pass-through account to move money to and from casinos.
An e-wallet is a digital account that sits between your bank and the casino. Services such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller hold a balance you top up, then let you pay in and cash out without sharing your card or bank details directly with the casino. It acts as a pass-through layer.
Why it matters: e-wallets are popular because withdrawals to them are often faster than to cards, and they add a privacy buffer since the casino never sees your bank information. They are handy for keeping gambling money in one separate place.
The catch is that some bonuses exclude e-wallet deposits from qualifying, and a few wallets charge small fees. Always check both the casino's banking page and the wallet's terms. Our payment methods guide compares the options.
