iGaming Glossary / Keno
What is Keno?
A lottery-style game where you pick numbers and a draw decides the payout.
Keno is a simple lottery style game. You choose a set of numbers from a grid, often up to ten or fifteen, then the game draws a batch of numbers at random. The more of your picks that match the draw, the more you are paid.
How much you win depends on how many numbers you chose and how many came up, shown on the game's paytable. Matching just a few of many picks can still pay, while matching none usually returns nothing.
Keno is easy to play and needs no skill, but it tends to carry a higher house edge than table games, so it favours the casino more over time. Play it for fun rather than as a serious value bet. Learn the details in our keno guide.
