What is La Partage?
A French roulette rule that returns half an even-money bet when the ball lands on zero.
La Partage is a French roulette rule that softens the blow when the ball lands on zero. If you placed an even money bet, such as red or black or odd or even, you get half of that stake back instead of losing all of it.
This matters because the zero is where the house gets its edge on a roulette wheel. By giving back half on these bets, La Partage roughly halves the house edge on even money wagers, making it one of the better rules for players.
