iGaming Glossary / Pending Period

What is Pending Period?

The time a withdrawal waits before it is processed. Some casinos allow it to be reversed during this window.

The pending period is the gap between asking for a withdrawal and the casino actually sending it. During this time the request sits in a queue, often while staff run final checks. It can last anywhere from a few minutes to a day or two depending on the operator.

Some casinos let you cancel a request while it is still pending, which sounds helpful but can backfire. If the money lands back in your balance, it is tempting to keep playing and gamble away winnings you meant to keep.

A short pending period is a good sign of a well-run site. If you want winnings to stay won, look for casinos that lock requests quickly, and avoid reversing your own cashouts. See our note on responsible gambling for why that matters.
