iGaming Glossary / Sticky Bonus
What is Sticky Bonus?
A bonus where the bonus funds themselves cannot be withdrawn, only the winnings made from them.
A sticky bonus is bonus money that you can play with but never cash out directly. Think of it as a tool the casino lends you. You can use it to bet, and any winnings you make on top are yours, but the original bonus amount stays behind when you withdraw.
For example, if you claim a 100 euro sticky bonus and turn it into 250 euros after clearing the wagering, the casino keeps the 100 and you withdraw the 150 you won. This is the opposite of a non sticky bonus, where your own cash is kept separate and stays withdrawable.
Sticky bonuses are not bad as long as you understand them. Always read the offer terms before claiming. See casino bonuses explained to compare bonus types.
