iGaming Glossary / Max Bet Rule

What is Max Bet Rule?

A bonus condition that caps your stake while wagering. Breaking it can void a bonus and its winnings.

The max bet rule is a common bonus term that limits how much you can stake on a single spin or hand while you still have wagering to clear. A typical cap is around 5 dollars per bet. It stops players from clearing a bonus with one large gamble.

If you break the rule, even by accident, the casino can cancel the bonus and any winnings linked to it. This is one of the most common reasons withdrawals get refused, so it pays to know the cap before you start playing.

Always check this number in the bonus terms and keep your stakes safely below it until the wagering is done. It applies to bonus funds, not your own cleared cash. Read our casino bonuses explained guide to avoid the usual traps.
